My pincushion was doing great and grew beautifully. We have had a really wet summer 200 mm in 2 days 2 weeks ago. It has lots of sand mixed into the soil to improve drainage. Will it get better as it dries out or is this the beginning of the end?

    Too much water my friend.
Hope for some dry weather, don’t water it and hope for the best.
I’ve had all too many natives get to a decent 4-5ft height and die due to over watering, both natural and intentional.
At first I just thought I was feeding well but turns out the arid climate is what they need!

Hard to see in the pics but it looks as though there’s mulch and possibly grass or groundcover right up to the trunk (they need free draining soil so it’s good that you added sand)maybe pull the mulch back a bit to help the soil dry out after all the rain you’ve had 🤷‍♀️
