I’ve got this very fast growing tree in my garden from previous owners. It’s in a very awkward position and apart from being so close to the brickwall, that branch/root under the slabs is a complete pandora box. I am thinking to use chemical to kill it but then still cutting it short seems a big challenge. I am very tempted to find an electrical instrument if that makes it easier and faster but don’t wanna risk damaging the wall. Tia

    Dig a bigger hole and cut all its roots. Keep moving it back and forth (pinch bar is handy).

    I can’t remember what they’re called, but you can/could get plastic plugs that contained glyphosate or similar. You drilled holes in the stump and hammered the plugs in to said holes and the chemical went directly into the tree
