The yellow ones are probably rotting, but holy shit thats like nothing for these plants to grow on. Id be very surprised if you got good props off of those tiny things, you gotta give em at least one leaf to respirate with while you keep the nodes moist, this is like nothing. These cuts have such little nutrient content, how are they possibly generating any new growth?

They’re roting and won’t make it. Cut the yellowish edges and let only the green stem.
With bare cuttings is normal, in my experience, that they make leaves before make roots and you can’t plant them wo roots.

I myself abhor doing wetsticks. For me they rarely root. I do get the start of leaf growth them it stops and rots. I honestly don’t know what to tell you to help.
I just didn’t want you to feel bad about trying to root wet sticks. But I have attached an image of a group of wet sticks that did really well for me.
These were all leafless nodes, wet sticks. They are also 2½inches long also. So I’m figurining that’s my issue. Other then i just can’t root in perlite.
