I planted 4 different types of tomatoes on February 25th. All looked great throughout the growing stage. After I repotted them on March 21st they began to die about a week later. I transplanted them when they had about 3 pairs of true leaves. (5th photo is 3 days after the up-potting). I didn't fertilize them for about a week and a half after up-potting, only then they showed some yellow leaves so i added half-diluted 6-3-6 fertilizer (6th photo). They gained green color later. Roots started to fill the cup nicely with healthy white color. They were under the grow light at about 250 ppfd (since sprouting) and a fan blowing daily after first true leaves. About a week after up-potting, I lowered the light to make it about 320 ppfd. About 2 days later, they started to look quite bad with leaves wilting. I moved them to a dark spot in my room, but now they look even more dead. 2 varieties look quite healthy (Saint-Pierre and Cherry) while 2 look completely or almost dead (San Marzano and Beef Steak) , although they grew exactly the same and looked exactly the same up until 2 weeks after up-potting. Can someone maybe explain what I did wrong and if there is any fix to this, will they recover or are they dead?

I am no expert, but I’ve grown tomato from seed for about five years.
I’ve had better luck by not transplanting into larger containers. (Just use medium size various containers, including peat pots until I put them in the ground.) I put miracle grow planting soil around them to cover more of their stems, even when small like this. Moderate sun through window or 125bulb, moderate water, and have had most flourish and grow great-tasting tomatoes.
Why so stingy with the soil? 😂 Fill up the cups, add nutrients and give them a few days to settle in. As far as lighting, move them closer to give them more light. If you have seaweed extract, maybe add some as that helps with transplant shock.
I’m also new at this(first time growing from seeds) and my tomatoes are about 2 weeks since sprouting, but I have my light at about 700 PPFD for 16 hrs.
These seeds were planted on March 16th and by 22nd, most were sprouted. I’ve also fed them with half dilution of Neptune’s Harvest Fish & seaweed.

Do the cups drain? Maybe the roots are too wet.
