The Granville Garden Club will celebrate the United States’ 250th anniversary during its 79th annual show and sale April 11-12 at Bryn Du Mansion. The theme “Red, White & Bloom” will be presented through member-designed floral arrangements. In addition, dozens of varieties of daffodil specimens will be exhibited, and bulbs can be ordered for fall pickup or delivery.

“This celebration of daffodils and America’s 250th is Granville Garden Club’s gift to our community,” show chairperson Rose Wingert said.

Guests may stroll through the historical home, viewing arrangements composed from flowers sourced from members’ and friends’ gardens and enjoy live music, patriot decor and interpreters costumed in colonial American dress.

The Granville Garden Club was founded in 1931, and the annual Daffodil Show and Sale began in 1944. It was originally held at the Granville Public Library but eventually found a home at the historic Bryn Du Mansion.

The annual Daffodil Show and Sale is the club’s primary fundraiser, and all proceeds support scholarships for local students, community beautification and conservation awareness. The event is made possible with support from the Granville Arts Commission.

Admission and parking are free, children are welcome and the event is accessible. The event hours are noon to 6 p.m. April 11-12. Bryn Du Mansion is located at 537 Jones Road NE.
