I just pull it away from the places I don’t want it interfering with anything else & let it do its thing. It keeps the weeds down 😉
Right now, the lily of the valley is winning, so ‘Mr’ Robert will have to go if it looks like it will drown that.

This spreads so much but I love the flowers. The smell is so distinctive isn’t it?
