All the sudden this little cutting I got like… 6 months ago or something have started to grow (I almost gave up).

I assumed it was due to the sun finally showing up (I live in Sweden, Winters are DARK) – but why in the world are the leaves like 2x the size of the leaves that was there when I got it?

They are also much thinner then the old ones??

Should I be worried??

the leaf is still developing. It takes a little over a week to grow into its full size

In my experience this is pretty common… my Hoyas almost all produce larger leaves than the ones it had when I got it. I think it’s two things – 1. Hoya’s leaves grow larger in lower light conditions (not saying low, just less light than in its previous conditions) in order to generate more surface area for photosynthesis. 2. If you’re fertilizing regularly you’ll get bigger leaves too.

It may take some time for your new leaves to plump up like the mature leaves down below.

Also, whenever you trellis a hoya, the leaves tend to get bigger.
