Pretty easy when you live in zone 9 and above. Not for the rest of us!

Is it a male or female plant? I was always unlucky to get the male papaya that never ripens

I am very pleased to see it rise in daily growing.

How long to get from seed to this?

Nice, sounds straightforward enough!

Seeing these youngling green papayas reminded me of a traditional Costa Rican dish that uses them: picadillo de papaya verde or chopped green papaya. Served with meat usually beef on a tortilla with a side of rice and beans (a must for CR dishes). Now I’m hungry.

I’m attempting to grow a Hawaiian papaya in zone 10 and it’s going so slowly. I have one singular baby fruit that is taking forever to grow.
