A couple was giving this way in hopes someone could give a second life!
However, I had NO idea how root bound it is. I was going to size down but clearly that isn’t possible. It seems I need to go even BIGGER?!
What’s the next best options to get this plant happy and thriving again?!

Bigger pot with suitable substrate. Nice bright spot (more light the better.) and fertilise. Loads of potential here. This plant is ready to explode (in a good way!)
You can cut the roots, yeah, like a haircut haha takin a lot of care of course of the newer roots or better for the plant, repot it.

Their roots are super resilient. I trim mine down by 1/3 to a half every year, otherwise I would have 6 foot planters lol

I bought an Albo like this from Home Depot. Same size it seems. I just went up a pot size, new soil and some fertilizer and it gave me two new leaves in less than one month.
The scaling of the plant with the dog and the pot is throwing me off lol.
I would cut the roots back and put it in a smaller pot.
From my weed days I seem to remember I would get a bigger pot and then use a knife to make 4 cuts into the roots so they have somewhere to go.
