A little girl grabbed at the tail and I was so grateful she didn’t howl in pain. What other “childproof” cacti or succulents would work in this planter? I have a few of them.

    Myrtillocactus geometrizans f. Fukurokuryuzinboku

  5. Oh rats, but it’s so cute how it is..

Trying to think of something where the color/shape wouldn’t clash and the care is reasonably easy- maybe euphorbia abdelkuri (no spines or thorns and it’s a light grey ish color)

Warn them and if they don’t listen it is a life lesson for them. How do you keep them from touching a hot burner, picking up broken glass, etc.? Sorry not trying to be snarky but I don’t see why changing it to different plant actually helps to learn not to ‘play’ with plants they might get hurt or the plant damaged.

Being that is the “tail” end of the cat, I was thinking anything in the rhipsalis genus should be ideal. Or a mini “fairy castle cactus” if you want a fully upright tail

We all learn not to touch cacti somehow lol.

I think a small rhipsalis of some sort would be really cute
