I've been using this Gardenia twisty one for a few months now but I do miss the selectable shower/jet/mist etc ones. (This one works well for watering the lawn by hand, but as it is now established, I tend to use it more for plants and there's not as much control in the spray pattern)

I love the brass attachments to my hose. Thought I'd see if there's an obvious answer to what I should try next. I don't mind spending some good money on a quality one that people recommend.

Happy Gardening!

I love my Hose Link attachment. Pretty much only use the shower option. Sometimes I turn it to the Full option on special occasions.

Get a watering wand, any brand. They feel elite. I like that I can change the setting on the head (shower, mist etc), I can control the flow strength at the handle and I can water at the soil rather than top watering. Once you have one you cant go back.

Sorry Im just here about the tree. Could be wrong but I think youve buried it too deep, and the mulch ring is too small. Usually you’d mulch out to the canopy edge (called the drip line). Watering right against the trunk doesn’t establish the best root system; you want the tree to have to work a bit to get the moisture otherwise it gets weak and lazy. We like stems/trunks in the air and roots in the ground.

Dram shower wand or the orbit sun mate. Best in class for watering, the rose head doesn’t pressurize the water that comes out and flow rate is not affected by the rose head so you are not splashing your mulch or soil everywhere when you water the soil.

So more soft watering in the shortest amount of time.

I’m in the Hose link team too, just need to wait for another sale to do the front yard upgrade !

I like the simple brass fittings. Seem to last longer in the sun.

I prefer to go naked and just use my finger.

I got a Bluetooth adaptor. Works really well to get water anywhere

    I have a variety.

Gardenia just like OP’s and a gun type Gardenia with a rotating bezel that showers, jet sprays and does a gentle aerated fountain. It also has a volume control.

I had another brand gun one which also did a power jet, vertical and horizontal spray. The latter was good for washing things down.

Won’t load my picture but you know the one I mean, metal round one with circular spray

I put my thumb over the end of the hose, and can direct the water any way I like it, from a power jet to clean the paving to a soft mist for my fern garden. It’s a skill I learnt from my grandfather.
