I have been trying to grow cucumbers since the start of this year but something has been eating them and the stalk looks shrivelled up.

Would anyone know why and how to resolve?

First time trying to grow plants, started out pretty good with 6 shoots but theyve been dying one by one…

Any help would would be appreciated!

That’s finished. It’s the end of the season, and cucumbers are annuals.
    Try again next year.

  2. That damage is likely from caterpillars. They will probably be green and hiding underneath the leaves. If they were easy to spot, the birds would have already eaten them. Since it is late in the season they could have already finished their lifecycle and moved on.

If the caterpillars don’t get them, the powdery mildew will. Eventually.

End of the season, time to pull them out. Next time plant them in spring
