Due to a brain injury I was unable to tend to my yard over the past 6 months or more.

I’m in Melbourne for context, and I’ve noticed ranunculus shoots popping up everywhere even though I wasn’t able to dig them up after they died back. It was my first year growing them from corms and seeds I purchased from Tesselaar and another seed company.

I was told they needed to be dug up and left to dry over summer, so I’m surprised to see new shoots.

Has anyone left their ranunculus in the ground year after year and still had success with flowers?

The photos of the cells are from when I sowed some seeds last spring and have only just started growing now (we had some heavy rain so it must have triggered them to sprout).

Thank you in advance as I am new to growing them and hoping I might get some blooms or just wishful thinking? Any tips or advice on potentially making the most out of these? Thanks again!

Think of it as rewilding. I’ve got daffodils that don’t get lifted and they flower.
