Hey everyone! i finally got my dream plant that has been on my wishlist for lonnggg time, i got one, did some research and this is how I currently care for it:
sun: 5-6 hours of direct morning sun in the windowsill and the rest of the day it's in shade
soil: 50/50 peat and perlite ( i heard they like to be grown similarly to african violets ) then topped with bonsai soil ( akadama and kiryuzuna ) for aesthetics.
watering: kept moist but not wet, slightly dried out in between waterings.
this plant has been in my care for only 3 days.
If you guys have any experience or tips on caring for this plant, it would be highly appreciated, thank you! 🙂

These plants are tanks. I neglect mine, water once every few months. I’ve had more of them dying from overwatering than under watering.
Love these! Don’t fuss on the watering, especially if you’re growing it with the tuber buried. They can handle, if not outright prefer, to be on the drier side.
I feed mine pretty regularly, and at least in an artificial light context they want it as bright as you can manage.
If you ever end up with too few leaves (as in the entire compound leaf that has 4 leaflets), you absolutely can cut it back entirely and it will usually sprout even more leaves. Only do this if the tuber is healthy, though.
This beautiful plant should be a breeze, I absolutely adore my own. Have fun growing it!
And a final reminder because it’s genuinely the only issue it faces: don’t overwater!
