Which prebuilt greenhouse should I get?

Hi all. Eyeing my first greenhouse and am stuck trying to decide between greenhouses from Yardistry or Backyard Discovery. My objective is to over winter some potted trees and keep the roots from freezing ( ideally at least at 40F).Hoping to warm mostly with thermal mass with a space heater for the crazy cold days. I'm not stuck between these two brands necessarily, but need something that will withstand snowloads that can be as much as 18".

Are there any clear winners between the two? Some of the criteria in looking for-
1. Insulation – Do either of them offer better insulation?
2. Sturdiness – or winters can be crazy at times 18" snow days are a possiblity.
3. Features – do either of them offer nifty features that put them above the other?

In terms of the price – yardistry is available in Costco, albeit the smaller version at the moment & I believe backyard discovery is sold in Lowe's/HD. Not sure if anyone knows when is the best time to buy them(right now both seem to have a sale going on. Is this it, or should I wait?

Would love to hear experiences from people using them in cold/ snowy parts( my zone is 6b by the way).

I have a backyard discovery and I’m super impressed by it. I did insulate all the non glazing surfaces and the complete north wall with 1 inch foam board. Used a heater on 750w setting and maintained 65 degrees even in single digits overnight. All my pepper plants produce abundantly all winter long.

  2. I’ve been eyeing that bellerose, if you get it lmk!

I have the Bellerose. I haven’t had a lot of exposure to greenhouses, but I was very happy with it. I would certainly buy another if I ever move.

I’ve been eyeing this greenhouse for over a year. The reviews I’ve read are the best in that price point: cedar, thick walls, power station, vents, etc.
I’ll probably pull the trigger, but I said that last year. They’re on sale at the moment.

I have the 7(ish) x 8(ish) Costco version of the Yardistry and while I love Love LOVE it, the extra footage would have been even nicer. I caught it on sale 3 seasons ago for $999 and that was just too good to pass up. it came with upper and lower shelves that can be set up on the left or right side for flexibility, but I ended up adding 2 more so I could add lights for seed starting. it came with detailed assembly instructions and when the vented roof piece broke while assembling the piano hinge, customer service was very helpful and I had the replacement inside of a week. I’m in zone 8b so we don’t see a lot of snow, but we get strong winds in spring and fall and I’ve had no problems with its sturdiness. as far as insulation – out of the box its just cedar and poly panels so it gets cold, but I put a small heater in for the coldest months and it rarely has been below 40° inside but we see very few extended periods below freezing here. all that said, either one looks like an excellent choice and will bring you years of joy.
