Garden novice seeking advice per the post title.
I‘m not sure what type of citrus tree it is but in the 8 months we’ve owned our house it’s been in this condition and hasn’t had any fruit; the leaves are a bit curly and light green to yellow, quite a lot of lumpy branches.
It‘s shaded by the house on the east side and gets full sun from the west.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, gall wasps. You can cut the larvae but it will leave scars. I don’t know of any insecticide that will touch a gall wasps issue.
The yellow leaves show iron deficiency. The more sun the better, so maybe shift it. Search the net for gall wasp control. It would take too long to write it
