sc, have total over 40 but im not uploading a bunch of individual pics. i know its early but they seem small! they did get cold for a couple nights (around 45) but that was a couple weeks ago. i put them in the ground on the 29th.
some of them are darker/have almost black leaves as well – theyve all been kept in identical conditions though so im not sure if different varieties have different coloration or if its cold

Assuming you hardened them off properly, they should be fine now. They look quite stunted, but that’s probably due to lack of nutrients. The purple color is probably a phosphorous deficiency. If you fertilized them, they would be 12 inches tall and flowering. I planted mine the same weekend as you, and even my micro-dwarf Red Robins are taller. Not bragging, just stating the difference fertilizer makes.
Hi! I don’t have an answer for you but I’m commenting because I planted hierloom tomatoes around the same time as you and mine look very similar. Some varieties just naturally have more purple leaves on mine, especially on the underside. There was a while where I felt like they stopped growing and I started supplementing weekly with liquid fertilizer and they’re happy again. I feel like my plants are just taking their time. Just know you’re not alone! I’m interested to see what other advice people give.
