Yellow Flame (1,2), and Prince of Orange (3,4) — pics taken only 3-4 months apart. What am I doing wrong? I fertilize regularly with Tezula MSU, and they get decently bright light.

You can maybe upgrade the light. Idk what decently bright means but the ones I have that grow best are under a big fat grow light for about 12h/day that is almost uncomfortably bright..

It’s a normal thing you’re not doing anything wrong

The color just gets muted as the leaf hardens off

Also.. that is one of the prettiest yellow flames I’ve ever seen. It’s so hard to find one with that balanced of color

  3. Variegation/color is almost always improved by more light. To the above points, there will always be some color loss once the leaves harden off, but more direct light can help foster better coloration.

Off topic a bit, but how are Yellow Flame and Red Moon Philos different from one another? They look identical to me!
