I just joined this group and also recently just posted about another plant I bought. This is a bigger begonia I bought today and in the parking lot this part snapped off.

Is this just a big loss for me or can I propagate this? I’ve only seen people prop leaves from these plants so I wouldn’t have a clue on how to do it with a stem? Just like any other plant in water?

Pic of area of broke off of and part that broke off included.

Its a cane so you will need to prop from the main stem, not leaves or leaf stem.

I have a few of these outside, and I would also encourage you to look up ‘tuberous’ begonias because these will have to go through a dormancy period and die back, so they can regrow and rebloom again.
