Australia’s biggest gardening personalities will descend on the Sunshine Coast this winter as the Queensland Garden Show returns to Nambour for its 42nd year.
The three-day event, running from July 10 to 12 at the Nambour Showgrounds, is expected to attract more than 25,000 visitors and will once again transform the site into a sprawling hub of plants, gardening advice and hands-on learning.
Organised by Greenlife Industry Queensland, the show will feature more than 360 exhibitors, including 55 nurseries bringing an estimated 60,000 plants per day, making it the largest collection of plants available in one location in the state.
Headlining the 2026 program is renowned horticulturist Graham Ross, best known for his long-standing role on Better Homes and Gardens and his radio show The Garden Clinic.
Chief executive officer Colin Fruk said the show continued to grow as one of the Sunshine Coast’s most significant annual events.
“Over the years the Queensland Garden Show has become a major drawcard for the region, and in 2026 we’re proud to present Australia’s largest gardening speaker program,” he said.
More than 70 free talks and demonstrations will be held across four live stages, featuring well-known names including Phil Dudman, Sophie Thomson and Jerry Coleby-Williams.
Visitors can also explore popular attractions such as the Giant Kitchen Garden, take part in hands-on workshops and seek advice at the Plant Clinic, where experts will offer free one-on-one consultations.
New for 2026, Sunday will be marked as “Locals Day”, with discounted entry for Sunshine Coast residents in recognition of long-standing community support.
The event continues to deliver a significant economic boost, with organisers estimating it has contributed more than $200 million to the region over four decades, driven largely by visitors travelling from outside the area.
Families are also a focus, with free entry for children aged 15 and under and a range of activities designed to inspire young gardeners.
The Queensland Garden Show runs from 8am to 4pm daily from July 10 to 12.
