Plans for the plant nursery are starting to take shape. I have cultivated the ground and made a first draft of a concept plan. Including the plant nursery, syntropic mother rows, edible meadows and a food forest. Its helpful to set out a vision for the land but understand that plans change and evolve.

  1. It’s going to be amazing. Beautiful design.

Hope you will consider some edible tree leaf species for your forest; mulberry, linden, etc. Can be managed as coppice or pollard.

    Wish I could come help!

Love the doggie. Will he hunt voles?

  2. Great plan young sir 🎉 an absolute delight to see how happy you and truffle are,I did used to live in Devon… I'm in Leicestershire, very much looking forward to seeing your plans evolve..on screen…, I would of loved to bring a helping hand with tea and cake!
    Have a lovely weekend 🌹

  3. It will be really interesting to watch your progress. But what will be even more interesting, that you would keep that project "on the ground…" I mean not invest idiotic amount of money…. So we could copy you…. Because I have 2.5 ha my self, where I'm trying to do something similar, but with tiny budget…

  4. You shouldn't need to bring in organic matter in the first year as you've ploughed the plot – there'll be billions of decaying organisms in there to fertilise the first year's growth!

  5. Great to see another video and a plan.
Thoughts on the plan – maybe it it isn't much of a consideration as you are so far South in the country and maybe you don't get any nowadays but where does the frost lie on your land. Are you not planning to put your orchard in the lowest lying land?
My three other thoughts are: where are you ponds? Or again are you in a part of the countryside where excess and a lack of water are not an issue?
Where is your apiary going to be sited? Or I guess hives located in different spots around your plot each 80 feet away from another would be an ideal plan for the bees so a formal apiary site would not be needed.
