I've seen some posts on this and the sales sub about people receiving or offering clones referred to as "Oscar" . Just thought I would offer some clarity so no one ends up purchasing the wrong thing.
While you can name a cactus whatever you like, and some of these are likely just references to the parent clone, I can assure you that any clones called "Oscar" going around right now are not Misplants Oscar.
According to misplant, " Oscar is 4-6 seed grown plants.from the same fruit that were initially planted in one pot and then eventually in the ground as the plants got bigger. Some of the stems are completely normal looking and some are monstrous & crested. Flowers occur on both the normal looking stems as well as on the monstrous / crested stems. Early 2025 I had to top the tallest stem of Oscar as it was too tall to reach the flowers."
Misplant has not offered this clone to the public. I am the only other person to have received an Oscar from Misplant (not special, just lucky). This is confirmed by Misplant. I have never propagated, sold, or offered Oscar myself.
Nor will I until Misplant gives his blessing to release the clone to the public.
Anything you see being offered as such is false advertisement.
