I went from a 5 gallon go a 18 gallon. It should start heating up theoretically right?


I'm having a temperature problem and yall told me that the 5 gallon was enough space for the pile to heat up. So I switch it to a 18 gallon. I also added some more leaves and brown paper into it after I took this picture.. A little piss as well

    I’ve gotten heat in a 44 gallon garbage can, but it’s not fully hot. 18 is way to little. It will still compost though
