The true leaves are popping out!

I've just fertilized with half strength and thinned the cells. The seedlings are more purple than I want, but the same happened last year and it had no effect on the plant's health. I believe it is just the artificial lighting causing the purpling.

I plant to pot up when the second set starts popping out. Transferring these to red doubled solo cups on a wire rack. I need to buy some more small fans for the shelves.

Se ven muy bien. Hoy germinó mi primera semilla. Estoy impaciente de verlas como las tuyas.

They’re looking good. I started mines on the 14th and they’re looking like this. I need to get them more light.

  3. I noticed that my black/purple tomato seedlings had a bit more purple tint to the bottoms of the seed leaves than the red and pink varieties. I assume there’s just a higher anthocyanin production overall in the plants.
