Propagating them is really easy. Put some soil in a small pot and put your cutting on top. That aerial root needs to be in contact with the soil. You can hold it in place using small pins used for this purpose, or cover it very lightly with a pinch of soil. Mist the soil surface and in about 2 weeks you should see signs that the root has lengthened and gone into the soil. I try not to let my cuttings dry out when I first start them. After the roots have grown a bit I ease off the misting. Keep them in a window where they’ll get direct sun in the morning if you can. Too much sun will dry it them out too fast.

Get a small clear container or prop box, and get some sphagnum moss, wet it and wring it out just a little bit, get your string of pearls cutting and place it right on top of the moss and gently push the aerial roots into the moss to secure it a little bit and close it up. You should see roots within a couple of weeks. Let it air out a couple times weekly. After it has successfully produced some roots, place it right on top of a chunky soil mix, and secure it with propagation pins. You can kind of make it into a swirl and then secure it with prop pins, and water when needed, and eventually you will have a beautiful string of pearls plant that will grow like crazy
