Bought from nursery. There were outside. Been outside my home for 2 days. We're fine yesterday but then this morning really bad. Are they gone?

With the dark dropped leaves, looks like frost hit them last night ?

I’m also in Tennessee and we got down below 40 last night, that’ll definitely damage your plants

I don’t put out my tomatoes until it’s reliably over 50 at night.

Growing a garden, you have to be mindful of the weather pretty much at all times. Temps, rain, lack of rain, all that.

Water them and bring them inside. By tomorrow, anything. That hasn’t perked up needs pruned. I would definitely keep them though.

Cold damage for sure. It doesn’t have to actually have a visible frost or freeze to cause damage, and your yard/land also has microclimates that can be above or below the stated temp.

  7. Looks like a freeze got them. Whenever it’s gonna get really cold at night water them deeply to insulate the roots and these were probably small enough to put a bucket over or a box

If its is crispy I would trim them and keep watering. The stalks are green and can make more leaves just keep an eye on the weather at night and bring them/cover them.

Way too cold to be outside up there right now for tomatoes and peppers. If it gets below 50 they’re gonna get stunted.
