Civic Garden Club hosts March meeting

The March meeting of the Civic Garden Club was called to order at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, by President Rita Thompson.

Pam DeCeault, Kelly Alston, and Beth Root served as this month’s hostesses and provided an array of breakfast refreshments.

This month’s program was the Club’s annual fundraising auction with President Thompson serving as the auctioneer. Auction items included various plants, garden tools, yard art, garden themed items and home-baked goods.

The membership roll was taken by Secretary Beth Root. There were nineteen members and four visitors present. Attendees included Pat Adams, Kelly Alston, Joy Borders, Kathie Brown, Martha Clark, Pam DeCeault, Janel Garnett, Erin Gore, Leisa Graefe, Vicki Hodges, Robin Huskey, Faye King, Pat Moschetti, Patti Meyer, Diana Ponder, Beth Root, Patty Sanders, Deborah Tanner, and Rita Thompson. Visitors present were Gail Davidson, Cindi Hudson, Mary Russo, and Cynthia Siebert.

Reports/Announcements: 

1) Pam DeCeault, Treasurer, provided a monthly finance report.

2) President Thompson announced that the next garden club meeting will be held at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Diana Ponder’s.

Tip of the Month: The tip of the month was presented by Robin Huskey. She reminded members that it was time to prune roses and lantana back if we had not already done so. She also encouraged us to hold off on planting spring plants until after Easter and/or the threat of frost.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:08 AM by President Thompson. Minutes provided by Secretary Beth Root.
