Never done a bonsai before, but tried making a small bonsai forest using some little Chamaecyparis thyoides from garden centre.
I’m quite pleased with it, but wish I’d built the little hill at the back a bit further to the right. Hopefully they survive as lost quite a few roots when getting rid of most of the old soil.
I’ve read shouldn’t prune for a while, so I’m going to see if they live, then maybe prune some lower branches to see trunks a bit. The maybe try and cut some of foliage a little bit.
Open to any thoughts, opinions and helpful tips now it’s finished.
