I’m a beginner and this is my first time having a fiddle leaf fig. It just arrived yesterday and while I understand it could be stressed from travel. However, The leaves look really yellow, rusty, and crispy. The root also looks like it needs soil and repotting. What should I do? I don’t want to over do it. The pot it is in is about 9 inches and it’s about 5 feet tall.

Whoa!!! I was not ready for those roots lol. I’d normally suggest waiting and letting the plant acclimate, but that NEEDS to be repotted. Give it a bright window and only water when the top is dry. It should look much better soon
