Did a little walk through forest and found interesting shaped Pinus sylvestris. I am not an expert, but for me it looks different than other pines. About 1m 30 cm height. Should I consider to dig it up and pot it? Have not done this before. Any thoughts, tips?

Trunk isn’t very interesting and very tall for bonsai, even might have a bit of inverse taper. You’ll want to look for something smaller w/branching you can still shape w/wire☝️

looks too tall, and the lower trunk isn’t really anything special

I think this would make a fantastic literati. Look at the movement in the second trunk. But if you’ve never done collection before, you should probably consult someone who has and can help you with it. You need to know if it can be safely collected.

Otherwise leave it in the wild. Alive in the wild is better than dead in your garden.

Diggin Pinus sylvestris is not easy
Especially when they are this big
Try some smaller ones first and prepare this one a few years before collection

If you can air layer that right below the first branch that thing would make a great cascade, or you could cut off the main trunk above the first branch and turn it into a huge piece of deadwood and use the main branch as the main tree

As others have said the trunk below the main branch is pretty boring but if you could get an air layer going on that…
