It’s just me in my house and I look around thinking how can one person do all this… projects piled on flat surfaces waiting to be worked on. Also, no need to apologize about Zoe. I’ve had dogs all my life, so I know what dogs do. She’s just doing her job. We’ve got crazy weather in Illinois too. Yesterday it was 65 and today it’s in the 20’s and 30’s. Robbie I've been growing in plastic bags for years. Not plastic bags per se, but you know those air pillows you get when you order stuff? And I know you order stuff on the Internet. I cut the top off, put a little cut in the bottom and I grow in those. Like you said, it's much easier to give them away and instead of losing my one or two little pots.

Here in Texas we have to deal with Vine borers with regard to summer squash plants. One video I saw on YouTube said to put out yellow Frisbees beside the squash plants before they develop the yellow blossoms so the vine borers would go to them and realize it was futile and this would somehow "train" them that going to the squash blossoms would be futile too once they started blooming. Have you ever heard anything like that? So then I was wondering . . . when I see you put those red and purple fake flowers for shade if this might result in the hummingbirds being confused since there is no nectar (or pollen for bees) for them. Have you observed hummingbirds trying to feed from the fake flowers? Curious to your thoughts as you are a great observer of nature.

In the cooler weather and, of course, in warm weather, too.
I've tried to put them in the fridge. I read that helps but not enough for my family to eat it.
