Chickens are not just Chickens. They are a cog in a system. Understanding how they fit into the system, and what secondary, tertiary ect effects they produce is essential to understand where within this system they should be placed.
Chickens produce a lot of poop. This poo can then be utilized to make compost and or fertilizer. The compost is used in a garden. The garden is used (in part) to grow things for the Chickens. They give you eggs.
When thinking about coop placement, water, food, and where composting occurs should all be a top priority.
I personally wouldn’t want to have to walk from the coop to the garage and back just to feed and water them. (Im too lazy for that).
I also would want to ensure the prevailing winds do not take any coop smells directly into my house.
You can always build a coop with shade, or plant something else that will grow into something they can use fo shade, so I wouldn’t be overly concerned about having to utilize anything existing. (I would just have it being by shade a lower priority consideration under food, water and compost)
With that being said, below the garage might be a good spot. Coop, then compost then garden. Plant a mulberry tree beside it for shade and treats. They’ll love it.

That looks like a good place for a herb garden actually. Maybe move the coop closer to a neighbor?

Did you consider a pond on the entire property and lifting the house on stilts like in Venice? That would fit nice. Screw the chickens, get ducks!
