Hi everyone! Is it a good idea to replace my garden shed roof with clear polycarbonate roof sheets to turn it into a greenhouse? Will it allow enough light? Would I need to enlarge the windows too? The shed doesn’t have an electrical supply so I would have to run an extension cord to use grow lights instead.
Edit: additional info- Southern hemisphere and photo taken facing South, in the afternoon in the Spring.

Is it in a good location? I see it’s already in a bit of shadow now.
Your idea is sound. About the windows, the more light gets in the better. You could take out the wall panels and put clear plates there.
But you could also just make a greenhouse and leave the shed as it is.
I have polycarbonate roof on my greenhouse for about 30 years, no basketballs, just the occasional falling branch.
I have 6 mil plastic on the walls, needs replacing every 3 or 4 years.
Clear polycarbonate will definitely increase light a lot but with your current wall setup it may still be a bit dim especially with that shading. Enlarging windows or adding side panels would help a lot.
