i grew this monstera from a cutting over a year ago. i potted her when she had great roots, and she immediately put out a new leaf (started with 2). since then, she hasn’t grown/put out new leaves. is her nursery pot too small? i didn’t think it was time to size up since the roots weren’t taking over the pot, but there is a root that’s coming out of the bottom. any recs on what to do?

Are the photos representative of the amount of light it normally gets?
It looks really healthy, what season are you in? What’s the sun like? Humidity? Watering? Fertilising? Doesn’t look rootbound.
Indirect light is light that goes through glass first. After it hits glass it loses like 50% of its strength. You need to have it near a south facing window or a west facing window to give it the best lighting conditions. North is not enough light and east is likely not enough light.
Lighting! These needs a lot of bright indirect light to thrive.
In the wild, monsteras grow in rainforest on trees climbing upwards to seek sunlight. So, the higher it grows, it creates fenestrated leaves so the bottom leaves can continue to have light.
You have to mimic that environment to a degree to achieve large fenestrated leaves with UV light etc.
They like to be root bound, so it might just be focusing on that root system, but I also believe it’s too low light for the plant as well judging by your previous replies on how far away the monstera is from a window they like light !!

Should be directly facing the window. Mine were like that a couple months ago, after I moved them to the window, they grew a lot faster and you can literally see the stems are getting real thick.
Light … get a frow light ..get it more sun
Get that monstera in a window and stake her to something
It needs more room for root growth.
A plant will only grow as big as its root system allows. No room for roots, no room to support larger life.
The fact that a root is growing out of the bottom is a sign that it wanted a bigger pot yesterday.
Also, please give it more light.
If you don’t want to move the plant and like it’s location, you can get a grow light. They even sell ones that you can put right in the pot and then you can adjust the height so the light is always right above the plant. I would recommend at minimum a 10w light. They also sell just bulbs that you can put in any light. (Just make sure you get a good brand and not one of the cheap no name brands on Amazon. Sansi and Barrina are some of the best cheaper options).
