    lithops are quite fussy, not the ideal first houseplant. they need direct sunlight and not a lot of water. it is probably a good idea to do some more indepth research on their care, because it is not very intuitive. I’m pretty sure this sub has a sidebar

    New soil with high grit and neglect. Should be fine

    I would split them into different pots as well as changing the soil.. This sub has been very helpful and the wiki is great. I’m only a couple of weeks in myself and everything is still alive!

    You’ve started on houseplant hard mode. You’ll probably want to split them up, get them into a soil that’s fully or mostly inorganic material with lots of drainage, and be very careful with the timing of watering.

    Typically they’ll want a heavy watering in spring when the leaves are fully dried, periodic watering as needed (very infrequent) during the summer, then don’t water again through fall and winter. They should split during winter and it’s important to not water so the outer leaves fully dry and allow the new ones to push through.

    Here’s the chart I leave printed next to my lithops, I don’t like removing leaves with tweezers but otherwise I like this infographic:

    OP you really jumped directly into the deep end with houseplants! Highly recommend following the instructions in the chart shared by another user here. If you can keep these bad boys alive, you can do anything! I also recommend separating them into different pots for a higher rate of survival (sorry, I know you just rehoused them!) because if they’re at different developmental stages, each will have different watering needs.     Best advice i can offer is forget about em and wrinkles hamburger style means give em some water while wrinkles hot dogs style usually is fungal or rot
