Spring’s combination of rain and sunshine means that your lawn should be starting to grow at a more rapid pace, but with that comes everyone’s least favourite gardening chore; cutting the grass. This coming Sunday (March 29) has been lauded as the perfect first day to cut your grass according to gardening experts Flymo, and Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon has shared her go-to tips for making it as easy and low-stress as possible.
The mum-of-two knows that chores like cutting the grass can be a nightmare to squeeze into busy schedules, and no one wants to spend their downtime in the sun pushing a lawnmower back and forth for ages. In a recent Instagram post with Flymo, Lucy shared some ways to make the task much less arduous so you can get it over with quicker and get your garden ready for relaxing in no time. Lucy said: “Little gardening tips like getting the timing right with your first mow can make such a big difference. It helps your lawn grow stronger and healthier, meaning there’s far less upkeep required and you can just enjoy being in your garden.
“For me, my garden is an extension of my home, especially in the warmer months. When it’s looking lush and healthy, without the need for loads of demanding upkeep, it becomes the perfect place to relax with my partner, entertain our friends and family and of course, have fun with the kids.”
