  1. I really enjoy your videos. Sweet peppers are on my favourites. I must give them go. I started some cress seeds off approx 10 days ago. The packet advised using kitchen paper. The results from your compost are much better than the kitchen paper method, so I'm going to try again. Thanks again πŸ‘

  2. Hi Ivan, lovely episode 😊
I've just potted my own saved pepper seeds on this afternoon. Can't believe how many grew! I've kept 8 seedlings which is a ridiculous amount but if they all grow I'll distribute any spares to my neighbours. I threw loads away 😒

I bought a Marshydro system in February which has 3 layers of lights. It's fabulous πŸ‘Œ and I put a heat mat on the bottom shelf. It's not very big but has helped me immensely. I've managed to keep all my seedlings in one place so far. Normally they're spread all over my tiny house πŸ˜‚

  3. Don’t get me wrong I love growing things and like being self sufficient where possible but peppers take so long to grow in this country and by the time they have they will be in season and cheaper in the shops. I get that they may taste better but it’s a lot of time with very little reward and with the price of compost it’s financially inefficient.

  5. Thanks Ivan, some great info' and tips on how to grow some lovely peppers and on a budget. Take care and all the best. Stevie

  6. Hiya how do you if they are not F1 seeds I always use camomile tea its quite mild but works and trays i use the cake and pastry because it has a free lid also lol

  7. ❀ For two years now, I have used your knowledge to soak the seeds in a weak tea and it works great! I usually get germination in three days…using the paper towel method.

  8. I'm sure those plants will germinate fast.own saved seeds germinate surprisingly faster than store bought. If you want even faster germination, try the paper towel method. Just wet a paper towel and place the seeds on top, put them into a zip lock bag and zip it up (faster again on a heat mat).

  9. Hi there, Ive been growing a favourite supermarket Cherry tomato called Vittoria for years now I save the seeds every year and always works well. Can’t wait for it to warm up a bit more to get started!

  10. I start my peppers off beginning of Jan so they get the whole season to carry on fruiting and ripening up in our uk climate. Never bother soaking my seeds and still get great results in my heater propagator with the sunblaster lights over them. Same with chillies.
