Good luck! Maybe the algorithm will be showing me an update 5 years from now, maybe.

That’s such a fun project, Florida 9b might actually treat coffee pretty well! Growing and roasting your own beans is next level, I’m *rooting* for you 😄

  3. Im attempting to grow sesame at the upper limit of 6a here without hoop houses so I applaud your tenacity

Very cool! Do you know what kind of coffee it is? I know arabica needs to grow at higher elevations and needs pretty consistent rainy and dry seasons. But robusta I know grows better in lower elevations which you may have better success with being in Florida. Good luck though!

You have at least 4 plants growing together right there. Should cut out three or replant further away

  6. I’ve done it and they do pretty well except for frost will strip them bare. I had two plants in partial shade and got enough berries for a full bag of coffee.

Awesome! Remember to protect it from the Florida sun! It’s a shade (under canopy) plant! I mention it cos mine survived a New England winter only to get too much sun in the summer.

I can’t wait to hear updates!

Ah, mountain-grown coffee in Florida. Isn’t life grand?
My banana tree in Wisconsin will race your coffee tree to the sky 😛

I’m afraid I’m of no use here, however; do you have a cat ready to eat the beans for the best flavor? 🤣
