How to attach my lights properly?

Hi,

It’s my current setup but it looks bad and doesn’t feel safe.

For now I have 2 hooks screwed into the wood panel, but the wood is almost empty inside, so I have used tape for now to be on the safe side.

I thought about buying multiple hooks that can be attached using 3M heavy duty tape, but it doesn’t feel that safe to me either.

I was thinking of removing the upper shelf and placing 2 rods in there and somehow(?) attaching them to the structure, so worst case scenario the rods would slide but not fall down.

I’m really really bad at DiY so any tips highly appreciated.
