first please don't make fun of our terrible landscaping skills 🥺🥺🥺🥺
so I had posted on Facebook how upset I was that my trillium got mowed down, she messaged me and said hey! I have some in my yard, I dug them up for you, come get them
I was like WHAT!!!
so I have trilliums now. I planted them about 50 feet or so away from where mine got mowed. I dug a huge root ball around it so that in its new home it could just be set down.
I really hope these are gonna survive, the ones the neighbor dug up were really dried out and there's 2 I dont think are going to make it, BUT the others are still bright and happy

**I FORGOT TO ADD** the neighbor who gave me these trillium **WAS NOT** the neighbor who mowed them down
It was someone else
Hopefully some will make it, but they typically do not transplant well when they’re actively growing. If your neighbor is ok with it, they can mark the ones they still have with a flag and then they can be dug up and transplanted when they’re dormant.
I wish you the best of luck, but trillium is a woodland plant that prefers rich, moist soil. This doesn’t look like a great location.
