Rose and Plum cuttings – how to proceed

hello everyone,

I have two cuttings of the above mentioned plants and had them in the water for about a week.

they started to produce new leaves and we're doing generally really well.

now the Rose started to welk and I'm not sure whether or not the cutting is lost or what to do now.

I moved them to soil now and watered the soil hoping that it will produce roots.

would someone be willing to help me? this is very first time I'm actually getting this far in the progress :3
