It’s back!

A beer garden is back open at a North Staffordshire pub. The Red Lion – on Cheadle Road, in Cheddleton – reopened last month following a prolonged closure.

But the beer garden had still remained out of bounds and a planning application was in progress. But the paddock is now back available for the pub – in time for this weekend.

In a social media post to drinkers, the venue stated: “We have finally been given access to the paddock by the landlords. That means the field is officially ours to use. We’re really excited to open it up and make the most of it throughout the summer months — perfect for drinks in the sun, events, and great times with you all. We also want to make it clear that we, as tenants, had no involvement in the planning application but we’re pleased that everything is now sorted and we can finally start using the space for the pub.”
