So, I got a hair sheep ram and a full kiko billy goat. They're both enormous. I keep them because we have a mountain lion issue and coyotes. These two are so aggressive sometimes with anything other than me or female goats or sheep that nothing really messes with them.

Monty is the hair sheep and will ram anything. He rammed my Dodge ram. Yes, my ram rammed my Dodge ram upon seeing his reflection. I think it hurt enough for him to not do that again. But yeah, any ram who is willing to fight anything that threatens his girls is a ram worth keeping.

Then you got Francisco the Kiko goat and he's the biggest goat I've ever seen and I've owned and seen many goats.

But unless you want problems on your homestead I'd recommend not putting two huge males together like this. I'm gonna end up separating them. They cost me too much for them to hurt each other. I've never had a predator issue though. So there's that.

I didn’t immediately run in to stop then because I wait until after the charging. I ain’t about to run in the middle and get crammed and rammed. I’ve made that mistake before.

All male animals will fight over a female. Some humans will too.

This how the big boys play. Thats why they come already equipped with their own sparring headgear.

If you are keeping them thinking they will protect any other animals from mountain lions, you are going to be seriously disappointed. I had a ram slightly smaller than yours get his head twisted around backwards by a lion along with 5 other sheep killed that night. My neighbor had a full grown black tail deer buck hanging 50 feet in a tree by his rack that a lion put up there to give you an idea of there physical abilities. Nothing I’ve seen is quite effective as dogs. Cats don’t like dogs.
That being said, my rams fought way harder than this and I never saw any injuries. Do they kick each other in the balls?

To all y’all saying this is play. Maybe, maybe not. Caution: My ram and buck used to do this same thing until one day my buck was paralyzed from one too many or one too hard.

Hilarious video. They basically ignore you. Then fight while riding to go away from each other. No one wants to admit who’s the boss.

🤣I love this! The commentary makes me smile because those boys are having as much fun as a bunch of preteen country boys at the mud hole on a summer day 😉 Seeing the middle school crowd come running was the chefs kiss! 🫶🏻

  10. We lost a great buck to this sort of behaviour once, cracked skull and had to be put down. Sometimes it’ll go bad
