In today’s garden video, Linda shares how she is bringing backyard magic to life with spring container styling, plant placement ideas, topiary updates, olive tree decisions, and simple ways to refresh outdoor spaces after winter. As plants return from the greenhouse, she walks through how she decides what goes where, how to visualize better flow in the garden, and why moving just one planter can completely change the feel of a space.

You’ll also see her work with begonias, geraniums, myrtle topiaries, boxwoods, and olive trees while discussing pruning, grooming, sun exposure, and how to layer potted plants for a softer, more beautiful backyard design. If you’ve ever wondered how to style container gardens, arrange patio pots, or make your backyard feel more intentional and inviting, this video is full of practical spring gardening inspiration.

Linda also shares one of her favorite seasonal projects: starting live Easter baskets with rye grass and lettuce seed for quick germination. It’s an easy and charming Easter decorating idea that adds fresh spring beauty indoors before moving outside.

  1. That was great. Your enthusiasm is inspiring. The one time I’m interested in what you are wearing…but where is the tee shirt from?

  2. Linda you are so lucky to have pot mover helpers 😂..I live alone and have been rearranging ad nauseum many heavy pots til I get it right, whew 🥵…have rearranged based on looks, sunlight, height of the obelisks in them etc, it never ends 😅, and I just got 96” high obelisks for some pots boy are they huge from Gardeners 😮

  3. So I’m watching your latest vlog. Everything looks great! Now I am going to remind you to give your miss doggy’s a light pruning. Just a couple of inches off of each branch. THEN give them some fertilizer. If you recall in one of your vlogs you talked about cutting some fig leaves to make arrangements and I told you NO! Timing of pruning is important on figs. So now is the time.

  4. Here in NE OH, I have another month or more to do my “point and click” gardening. There’s a lot of clean up still to do and our 10 day forecast has some lows in the teens. But I’m happy and inspired to see what you’re doing. I bring out some birds nests to add to my Easter bunny decorations. Some of the nests nestle quite nicely on my head planters, like fanciful spring hats!

  5. Love you and all your videos! I'm not doing anything for Easter, but I'm enjoying watching and following what you are doing.

  6. Linda, please tell me what the two conical bushes in pots are on either side of your back door. Thank you!

  7. Not on topic at all, but after months of several feet of snow it FINALLY started melting this weekend and there are daffodils, tulips and alliums coming up EVERYWHERE! 🌷😆 🇨🇦 5a

  8. Could you tell me where I might find scented geranium? You speak of them often and the leaves look much like regular geranium but you speak of them as 2 different types. Educate us on the difference, very interested. Love you Linda, so inspiring.

  9. Did my two porches today so good..all my Easter is antique pieces

    Love it all❤
Starting grass tomorrow..put my 4 ft
    Cement bunny out today

  10. Love the thought of the Easter baskets on the stove to germinate from the warmth. But, I use my stove at least 3 times a day, so it would not be practical. Little Dani's basket is adorable!

  11. I think my husband turns his ears off when I’m explaining what is coming in, where it’s going, what was there and where, what was there is going and where what was in that place is ending up. Then he gets ready to move stuff and he says, “Where is it going?” And I say, “ I already explained all of this, weren’t you listening to me?!?! 😂😂😂

  12. Exciting times watching as the storybook cottage comes alive with it spring grandeur! So blessed to have Stewart. Love baby Dani's basket idea. Love 🌱❤️

  13. Hi there!!!! What variety is your olive tree? I’m in Philly zone 7b and I think I can grow one but would need to overwinter it in my garage I think.

  14. We have about a 6 ft. retaining wall behind our tiny backyard. In the fall I planted a new clematis on top of it to hopefully get it to trail and fill in. I was so excited to see that it looks very healthy and has some nice fat buds. Can't wait to see it in a few years up there! Your garden is always a delight!

  15. Don’t be in a hurry my dear it was 71 degrees today here in Windsor ont and next week forecast seen snowflake 32 degrees. Lol

  16. Linda,im in UK. Can I recommend a plant for the alleyway. It might survive. GALEOBDOLON Lutea variegata,or common folk name, variegated Yellow Archangel. A wonderful name. If you can plant just a small bit it should establish and spread . It's VERY INVASIVE so don't plant it in your actual garden but a hostile environment like your alley would keep them nicely in check. This is one of my favourite plants. I hope you can obtain it in America.

  17. Linda, love everything you do. I’m in Waco, Tx. We have a 33 degree morning coming next week on Tuesday. I notice OKC will have a 24 degree morning around that time😮What will you do with all the plants you just took out of your greenhouse?
