so, as the title says, i have noticed that after 7 months of me owning power orange isopods they have starter escaping from my crested gecko tank. I've spotted on in my room (where the tank is) and one in my bathroom (opposite side of the house) this week.

I don't really mind them being in the house but im worried, is an infestation possible? are their needs not being met in the tank?

I have a cork backdrop to the tank and the isopods primarily hide in the backdrop and climb on it, i assume they climb through the top of the tank

They may be looking for drier areas, or in some cases they just fall off the top after they’ve climbed up there. If you can close the openings or move stuff away so they can’t access them it might help.

As far as an infestation, very very unlikely. Your house is likely too dry for them to survive long term.

I don’t have an answer but how the hell did u get sheffelara (assuming that’s what it is) to grow in the enclosure, i have trouble propagate them at all
