Well, I finally made the transition to hydro. It took a long time to find everything, especially the reservoir. The one I found was pretty old and sun damaged so I added a few layers of epoxy/carbon fiber to stiffen it up. Now I'm not 100 percent on how to run this.
My grasses are sprouted on hemp mats and then placed on leca in 1010 traya with holes. The greens are sprouted in 2"rock wool cubes and then in pots over leca. I'm using master blend according to their calculator. I started flooding every 4 hours for 10 min (+10 min drain) during my light cycle. I also plan on draining and refilling the res every 2 weeks.
Does this seem ok? Am I flooding often enough for long enough? Does my nutrients plan seem ok? How do I raise ec when I am using the master blend calculator per gallon of water?

So imo the best way to determine if the flood rate is good is to inspect it just before it is going to flood to see where the substrate is at, as far as moisture content. Note that this will change as the plants grow bc they’ll be taking up more water. The nutrients and ec are difficult to determine bc the substrate will accumulate and probably hold nutrients and ec higher than the solution over time
