  1. Hi Alan I am Caroline and been doing gardening for over 35 years now in back it 10. By 10 have summer house to greenhouse plus 5 Raise bed with Rainbow sweet corn a other Yellow sweet corn plus potatoes cabbage running bean tomatoes and fruit and flowers

  2. So many useful tips! I have done well with my 6 shrubs until recently. One of these has suddenly reduced its blooms this year. Not really grown much tall either. Could it be because my hubby moved it in the winter (rather unwittingly!) from a spot where it was much happier?
Also if I put a rose in the pot, should I partly cover the drainage hole of a 75cm wide pot?
    Thank you Alan 🌹

  3. I’m reading one of your books! i’ve already read your poetry book and now I’m reading The Gardener’s Almanac

  4. I have just bought a German climbing rose Called maintower well its still in the post can you tell me anything about it thanks paul

  5. That’s a David Austin rose! Most of my roses are DA. Emily Brontë. My ones in planters aren’t doing so well, I think one is rusty. Can you do a video about spring bulbs. All mine came up blind.

  6. A lovely and helpful video. 🌹 Thank you! I always enjoy your gardening. 💐🌿🌳

  7. First time I saw your program in 1997 while I've been living in England. And since then I dreamed about a garden. First countryside house I successfully sold and bought a larger piece of land. By now I've planted 60 roses and when I see their blooming I always say THANK you for all this inspiration. One of them is Geschwinds Orden was bred in 1880… By now I'm 55 and surely have some more perfect time to see my garden growing. Best regards from Moscow!

  8. Apparently artificial fertilisers are bad for the life in the soil. What natural fertiliser do you recommend for roses?

  9. I lived in London without a garden for 15 years and finally bought a house in Yorkshire with a long garden. In 4 years I have about 50 roses haha I absolutely love them. Lots of deadheading and feeding but my house is full of roses in the summer and autumn and I grow delphiniums and cosmos too which I pop in the vase. Some incredible ones – I’m counting down the days until summer when I can smell Evelyn and Abraham Darby again

  10. Just started watching you’re gardening ideas, tips Remembering when you were on TV In 80s 90s 😊 Retired now so decided to watch and get great ideas from the BEST Only have small gardens front & back but I’ve done the plan that you suggested 😊👍🏻
