So my water pump wasnt working today so I closed the valve and took the pump out. Roots had grows all the way to the pump. Well when I closed the valve it cut a good foot of roots off. Plants are in week 1 of flower, is the root damage going to fuck up the plant?

Probably not i removed almost 2 ft of roots from mine last grow, it grew all the way from the bucket to the res, it was fine.
Nope they will be fine no harm done . I grow in a similar system if your running rdwc systems with small returns you shouldnt veg them out super long or this is gonna happen every time. Gotta be conscious of your rootball size or this will eventually cause a flood.
