I bought this “mini” money tree in May 2021 as one of my first houseplants. Within five years it grew to 8+ feet (for reference I’m 6’4”).
What’s wild about this plant is it has one 6 foot bamboo stake that it quickly outgrew. Nearly all of it just grows straight!
I had to give it away to my sister because it got too tall for my house and she has a living room with a 12 foot ceiling where it can live its happy, tall life!

I’m from Hawai’i and had one of these grow into a literal tree. They are my favorite plant 🌱Yours is beautiful💚
They’re generally pruned to remain compact when kept as houseplants. I understand some people are hesitant and proud of their stately overgrown trees. If that were mine, I’d have it back to the original size and many props to root and give away.
