Come see what garden bargains I found at Costco this past week (I will be going back for sure for more) and what I splurged on! I also made a quick trip to Home Depot for some seeds. Home Depot had some special things in too. It was a great garden trip.

  1. I love finding beautiful garden pieces that don’t break the budget, and Costco did not disappoint me this time. Have you spotted any great garden bargains lately — at Costco or anywhere else?

👇 Tell me what you’ve found (or what you’re hoping to find this season). I read every comment, and your ideas often inspire future videos!

  2. I was given a big pail of chicken manure. I have wintered it over. so do I just lightly spread it around the garden? I don’t want to burn anything.

  3. I love ranunculus so much. That was a good price for some beautiful cheer. Have never been able to grow it. Great price on the large gorilla cart!

  4. Thank you for taking us shopping with you! I saw so many flowers that I would have had a hard time passing up, lol. You made a beautiful choice in the that you bought.
I have had my dump cart/ wagon for many years, and it has been worth the 79.00 that I paid for it at Lowe's. They have gone up so very since I bought mine. I take very good care of it and never leave it sitting outside, but my husband did have to replace the tires on it a few years ago. You will absolutely love yours.
I hope your sick chicken gets all better.
I have never had any luck orchards either. 😊

  5. I can’t believe your Costco has bulbs already . I can’t wait . I do want some calla lillies this year and some colocassia or caladiums . We re still knee deep in snow here . I’m ready for spring ! I’m so glad they have gorilla carts

  6. I envy you! SoCal Costco don't have Sluggo Plus. I told our Costco managers, we SoCal have Slugs too!!

  7. Great video and thank you! My mother was the gardener of plants, flowers, herbs, and everything else. Me? – black thumb so I am watching and rewatching your videos!!! Please do not stop!!!😊 I was also wondering if you had bought building plans for your studio cottage – Primrose Cottage. If so, please say where. Also, the same question for your greenhouse. Are you finding it sturdy and holding up under inclement weather? Thanks again!
    Susan

  8. Would not shop at Home Depot if they were the last store on earth. They are a horrible company. Lowe's is better. Costco is no great bargain – if you shop around you'll know this. I am a member for the few things I use that *are a bargain, but most of their products are wildly overpriced.

  9. I love Costco bulbs! Lilly of the valley is invasive and highly poisonous to people and pets. I waiting to see what ceramic pots they bring back. The large light weight concrete ones work well for my standard tree roses. There on the rolling caddy you showed for easy moving. Can you show how you made an above ground pond with the pot please. Thanks

  10. Hello Pam, so great to see another video. I have to get to my Costco to get some dahlias, they always perform really well and are good quality. @5:50 those pots are perfect for a small pond, please do a video on how you set it up. I hope that I can find one at my local store so I can make one myself. We don't get the same things in Canada as you do in USA. Smart to grab the Gorilla cart that is a great find/buy and you will use it a lot. I love my garden cart. Enjoy the weekend ahead!

  11. I am so enjoying your videos from snowy Memphis, Tennessee. Can’t wait to see your fountain. I’m trying winter sowing for the first time. An exciting time.

  12. Way to work that willpower. I drooled along side you looking at all that plant potential. 😂

  13. I just want you to know how much I appreciated this tour of your local stores, and also the fact that you show us the prices for many of these items.

There are many people on YouTube that buy everything they come across regardless of cost just so that they can create content bragging about the beauty of their perfectly-manicured gardens.

I love that you acknowledge the different prices of what you saw at these stores and show us how our gardens are influenced by our budget and the financial decisions we make when we shop. "Is this a good deal? Do I really need this? Do I have any space left for that?" Stuff like that.

Here in the midwest, we are still being tortured with snow and sleet, but today I went to the local Home Depot and saw that they had FINALLY brought out the imported-from-Netherlands dahlia tubers. Not as great of a quality as domestic-grown tubers, but I found two varieties that I absolutely love. One is called Kogane Fubuki and the other is Creme de Cognac. I don't know what your dahlia plans are for this growing season (and I was slightly disappointed that you showed the dahlias very briefly before walking over to the seed packets) but I would love to see you grow the Kogane Fubuki variety, in particular. The gradient of soft colors is so beautiful.

  14. Please show the watermelon poppy when they come up! I dont grow poppy. Just because i typically plant something that blooms all summer. Like cos.os blanketflower and auch. But i do love poppy. And have always wanted to see those.
